Dr. Robert Loeffler earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Columbia University in New York, New York, and his medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York, New York. He continued his training with an Internship at Mount Sinai Hospital and an Orthopaedic Residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, both in New York. Dr. Loeffler then served as an Orthopadedic Surgeon in the United States Air Force Medical Corps at Andrews Air Force Base. He then completed subspecialty Fellowship in joint replacement surgery at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, Dr. Loeffler served as Chairman of Orthopaedic Accreditations at Holy Cross Hospital and Montgomery General Hospital Surgicenter. He also maintains an affiliation with Washington Adventist Hospital, Suburban Hospital, Shady Grove Adventist Hospital and Eastern Neuro Rehabilitation Hospital. In addition, Dr. Loeffler served as Chief Orthopaedic Consultant at Eastern Neuro Rehabilitation Hospital as well as holding teaching appointments at George Washington University and at Children’s Hospital. Dr. Loeffler is a dedicated researcher and is the author of several articles in peer-reviewed journals. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and a member of the American Medical Association, American College of Forensic Medicine, International College of Surgeons, Washington Orthopaedic Society, Washington Rheumatological Society and Montgomery County Medical Society.
