Robert M. Scharf, M.D. is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist who completed his residency in 1972 at the University of California in San Francisco. He also completed a fellowship in Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and served our country as a physician with a rank of Major in the Army.
I have over 30 years experience in General Ophthalmology. We have the latest diagnostic equipment available in our office for the evaluation of most ocular diseases and disorders. We see patients of all ages for routine examinations and for the treatment of acute and chronic diseases.
In addition to treating diseases, we fit contacts and glasses and have an excellent staff of opticians who provide superior fitting of glasses. Our optical shop offers the latest technology in progressive (no-line) bifocals.
My front office and clinical staff are excellent and offer care and compassion for our patients. Many of our patients consider our staff like family and regularly bring by munchies in appreciation for the care they received.
We treat our patients with respect and provide explanations for the tests we perform and for the results of those tests so that our patients can participate in their own care. We use common sense in prescribing medications and treatments for our patients. We are available in our office or by phone, fax or email.
