Dr. Shaw has been in practice in Burleson, TX since 1974. He received his medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine, New Orleans, Louisiana, in 1971 and completed his residency training in 1972 at John P. Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, TX. He established his private practice, Shaw Medical Center, in 1974.
He is a member of the American Board of Family Physicians, the American Medical Association, the Texas Medical Association, and the Tarrant County Medical Society.
Dr. Shaw began his practice in Mansfield. When a physician who was practicing in Burleson in 1974 fell ill, he came to Dr. Shaw and asked him to care for his patients. Dr. Shaw has practiced medicine in Burleson since, caring for each patient with sincere compassion.
Dr. Shaw says: “My passion is doing God's work through caring for those who have entrusted me with their healthcare needs.” He understands how important it is to find a Physician with whom you can feel comfortable and confident. He realizes this can best be achieved by listening to their needs.
Outside of work, Dr. Shaw enjoys time at his ranch with his family, friends, and horses. He is involved in church and especially loves listening to his wife sing in the choir.
