I highly recommend Dr. Spears to other patients. We received excellent service from the moment we checked in to discharge
He was very informative and very professional I would highly recommend him
Great doctor to take your children to. My daughter was amused with Dr Spears.
Doctor and Staff were wonderful!!
I was told my diagnosis before I was even examined. I was also told what medications I was going to be prescribed before being examined and before asking me what medications I was already on for my condition. I had to tell Dr.Spears that I was already on the same type of medication he wanted to prescribe me. This could have been dangerous if I hadn't known the drugs were similar. I felt rushed and did not get all of my questions answered. Seemed like he was more interested in LSU football than my condition. Unfortunately, I won't be going back.
He is straight to the point
Great doctor! Office staff was very polite and professional.
Was very direct on what I needed for my issues. Talked to me about other options if the prescriptions I got would not help. I already got a six week appt. ready. Great visit
Awesome ! Need more doctors with sense of urgency he had and the character
Very pleasant. Blunt and straight to the point which is what I like. Great personality. I think we'll get along just fine for the foreseeable future.
Everyone in the office was very nice and professional. We were seen right away after filling out our forms. My daughter went in for a thorough ear cleaning. They procedure didn't take long. Everything was explained. We went ahead and did her hearing test as well. Again everything was explained. There was ample opportunity to ask questions. The check-out process was very quick as well. I think we were in and out in less than an hour.
He is very passionate about his work and LSU
I always enjoy my visit with Dr. Spears. He is caring and he always listens to you concerns and of course he is very polite and happy!
Over a two hour wait while hearing the lady in the next room and the doctor having a rather loud discussion about whether she was just imagining her symptoms. Nurse for the visit had to redo my tests three times because she wasn't paying attention/was in a hurry to get to lunch. Unlikely to return.
Excellent. Great love him
Dr. Spears was very hospitable and made me feel comfortable. He was informative and to the point. 2 thumbs up and 5 stars.
Love him. Both kids have been his pt.
Very professional and has a great sense of humor. Made me feel at ease when he took the time to explain things and promised not to sugar coat anything. Wish the wait to see him wasn't so long.
He's fun, bluntly spoken and seeming honest. He apologized for prior staff who, three years prior, recommended hearing aids which he said I may not need at all. Additional testing to be done.
Dr. Spears didn't listen. (This is just my personal experience with him. Other patients may think otherwise.) First thing he does walking into the exam room is touch my bra strap, mentioning football colors. But that didn't offend me nearly as much as how proud he was to proclaim that he doesn't apologize for his unprofessional personality and he doesn't care how it affects patients. he said that's just who he is so too bad. The battery on his scope went out just as he starts to examine me. He doesn't bother to fix it or recheck and says, "oh well it's good enough. I saw enough." Maybe he did see enough. But maybe not. Why not respect the 1 1/2 hours I waited and be certain and talk me through why he did what he did instead of harass me into a scary(for me) treatment. If I had any signal that he was listening I may have trusted him and been receptive. His diagnoses could be perfect but how can I put myself through that again?
Very Nice and wanting to help find a good plan for my horrible sinus condition... He's very Happy :)
Really long wait time, but other than that he's a really good doctor. He has a great sense of humor and is well educated in his field, he definitely knows what he's talking about. If you're willing to wait for his services it's worth it.
The staff talked loudly about inappropriate things. The wait was awful. Almost an hour and a half. This was at the South New Braunfels office @ City Base.
Even though I pre registered thru ZocDoc, I still had to fill out all the forms (electronically). So I wound up registering twice. I'm not sure I find much value in this.
Very down to earth person, made me smile . And took care of my health.
Dr Spears makes you feel comfortable at what he is explaining
Enjoyed his colorful personality. He seemed genuine about helping me feeling better. He can relate to people and makes you feel comfortable from the get go.
After waiting over an hour in waiting room, a medical assistant brought us back to the pre exam room, asked lots of questions, got my daughter's history, etc. Then back to the waiting room for another long wait. By the time we saw Dr. Spears, it was late (after 5; her appt was at 3). He introduced himself and right away told us he's a "coon ass", country boy, hoped he didn't offend us, etc. Would NOT let my daughter complete a thought before interrupting her, talking over her. He needs to listen to his patients and not talk over them.
A very good doctor makes you feel very comfortable
To LONG wait time.
He's very minimalist and forwarding thinking. Great atmosphere and charming personality. Very knowledgeable. I'm already feeling some results.
He was clear, detailed, and explained why he recommended the steps to come to accurately pinpoint my treatment. I left feeling confident that I am heading in the right direction to properly treat my specific symptoms.
Dr Spears is an amazing doctor. He took his time to answer each and every one of my questions. I was so nervous about having my tonsils removed, but he assured me everything would be okay, made me laugh, and joked. He treated me like a friend and made me feel welcomed, and I was no longer anxious. I'll never go to another ENT. I'll be taking my son to see him soon. Good doctors are hard to come by. Dr Spears is easily likable.
I absolutely love him!! He was so awesome with my son and he did not terrify him like most doctors!! :)
The physician was excellent and more physicians should aspire to be like him. His help is not up to par with his standards. My BP was taken and he was not even aware of it until I informed him because is was not on the records that he had with him. The person doing the hearing test put another person in the same room before I was finished with my exam. She was rushing like she just wanted to get me out of there but I also realize its busy and you need to get the patients in and out. That is the nature of the beast now a days. I will recommend this place to everyone because of Dr. Spears not the staff.
Very nice and very funny...all the people there were great...would have liked a faster xray and next visit appt to speed up the process...but overall really liked everyone and would recommend highly!
He let me know options and made sure that I understood any procedure that may be an option for me.
I enjoy seeing him for my 1 1/2 year old and she loves him as well as all of the nurses. Making appointments and scheduling surgeries are done quickly and efficiently. My daughter has been his patient for one year and we have never had any issues. I love how strait forward Dr. Spears is and the way he prepares parents for the worst so there are no shocks or false hope. He also never doubts a parent when they feel something is wrong. He gets answers!
I am very happy I have been taking my kids to him for a few years now
Great doctor! Honest and made me feel comfortable. I would recommend a family or friend.
Spears was great. This website is worthless. I entered info to night before and Dr. doesn't use it.
Great Doctor, very friendly and helpful!!!!!
It was really good
My medical condition was quickly diagnosed and it was thoroughly explained to me in plain language that I could understand and not in medical terms that I am not familiar with. I am very pleased.
He was amazing!! I really liked him - you can ask him anything you want and he is very good about explaining things.
He was very professional and helped with my hearing loss. I will refer him to others.
Overall poor. I watched the waiting room empty twice and was finally called yo exam room where I waited about 35 minutes the doctor finally came in and it was slam bam thank you mam. Overbooking is being greedy on the doctor's part
very friendly & talkative =)
The wait time was long but I appreciated all the time he spent with me once I was seen.
Very abrupt and poor bedside manner. Overheard him screaming and cursing at someone in the next room. Totally did not feel comfortable with him potentially operating on my child. Seeking a new doctor ASAP.
I liked the visit. He put me at ease immediately. The doctor explained very clearly what my problem is and what we can do about it. I will get a couple of tests and continue from there.
Explained everything he was going to do before he did it. Explained everything about my condition in a clear, understandable way. Great doctor.
He is awesome! Super affordable and a really nice doctor.
