Robert C. Urban, Jr., M.D. was born in New York. He graduated from Columbia University in 1983 with a Bachelor of Arts. He then went to Yale University School of Medicine and received his M.D. degree in 1987. Dr. Urban completed his internship in Internal Medicine at the Winthrop University Hospital in Minneola, New York in 1988. Dr. Urban then completed his residency in Ophthalmology at the University of Illinois, Eye and Ear Infirmary in Chicago, Illinois in 1991. He then went on to complete his fellowship in glaucoma at Harvard University in 1992.
Dr. Urban joined Pasco Eye Institute in mid 2003 to help provide the most advanced specialized care and treatment for our patient's who have glaucoma related problems.
Dr. Urban is an active member of the American Medical Association, the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Tampa Bay Ophthalmologic Society, the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, the Chandler-Grant Society, the Contact Lens Association of Ophthalmologists, and the American Glaucoma Society.
Dr. Urban lives in Oldsmar with his wife and three children.
