Dr. Chan is an excellent doctor, surgeon, and very genuinely great person who truly cares about his patients. I appreciate the time he takes to thoroughly explain procedures and possible outcomes taking away fears or anxiety regarding future surgeries.

Dr. Chan, San Antonio Plastic Surgeon, was born in Hong Kong and raised in Vancouver, Canada. His diverse upbringing allows him to understand that every patient’s background is different and therefore, every treatment plan has to be customized to achieve the best possible result. He received his undergraduate training in Biology at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and his medical training at Harvard Medical School. He then completed ten years of post-graduate training at the highly respected Harvard affiliated hospitals (Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Massachusetts General Hospital, Beth-Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Children’s Hospital, Boston) to become broadly trained in and qualified to perform all aspects of cosmetic plastic surgery. His mentors, all national and international experts, have instilled into him the art of perfection, the essence of plastic surgery.
Dr. Chan is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, the American Board of Surgery and the Royal College of Surgeons (Canada) as a specialist in Plastic Surgery. He is an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), a fellow of the American College of Surgeons (ACS) and a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons in Canada. He serves on the medical advisory board of a non-profit organization, Sons of the Flag, to improve burn outcomes for wounded warriors.
