They are very hard working and lots of attention. There is a lot of patients so sometimes wait is a little longer but service, quality and PRICE make it well worth the wait. My wife and many friends see Dr Belalcazar.

A native of Colombia, Dr. Belalcazar received his MD there and completed his residency at the Colombian Institute of Ocular Surgery in Bogotá. Dr. Belalcazar underwent Refractive Surgery training at the world famous Instituto Barraquer de America in 1993, The Myopia Ocular Center in Madrid in 1996 and at Park Avenue Laser Vision in New York with Emil W. Chynn, M.D. in 2008. He has performed thousands of Radial Keratotomy (RK) surgeries, over 2,500 cataract and corneal transplants at the Surgical Ocular Institute Palermo, and was Director of the Eye Clinic at the University Foundation of San Martin. He has performed over 4,000 LASIK procedures. Dr. Belalcazar received the Colombian Culture & Heritage Award for his professional achievement and service to the community. He became a US citizen, completed a Pediatrics residency at Driscol Children’s Hospital - Texas A. & M., is certified by the Educational Council for Foreign Medical Graduates of Medical Examiners, and licensed by the State Medical Boards of Florida, New York and Texas. Previously, he was the Medical Director of Vision Specialty Care for South Florida. He enjoys marathons, rock climbing, & scuba. Dr. Belalcazar is Member of The American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and The International Society of Refractive Surgery.

I didnt like i waited as my name was called come to find out they didnt except my insurance. I wished they would of told me that before my appointment was confirmed.

I didn't even get to see the doctor. I made my appointment for 12:45 and and hour and a half later, I still had not been seen. They called me in and let me know I would still have to wait a while before seeing the doctor. I filled out the paperwork online so I could be in and out. However, they failed to mention that regardless of making an appointment, I would still have to wait an hour and a half. Only to be called 40 minutes into the appointment to pay for a service I had not yet received. Seating area is extremely small. The staff is unaware of what is going on and could only apologize when I let them know I had to be at work by 2:45. My drive to work from this location is half an hour and I notified them. They did not seem to be concerned with the wait time. Inwould not think twice about my decision to never recommend this place.

Welcoming staff although half, or 1/4 of them speak English. They are however thorough and explain your problems and give you your options. Only thing I disliked is when I asked questions and they'd look agitated. The girls in the front are easier to talk to. The doctor was just fine and very knowledgeable. I'd recommend him to a friend.

I loved the Doctor he was very attentive and gave me a laser treatment on the same day. only bad part is the wait time I got there at 11:45 for a 12pm appt and ended up leaving at 4pm by 2 pm is when they had passed me inside to check my eyes. But over all great doctor I will recommend to friends. They even do pediatric eye patients too.

It was a waste of time. I arrive about 20 minutes before my schedule appointment left the office 4 hours later!! Their equipment seemed old, before I placed my chin and forehead on the equipment the woman just cleaned it with a plain tissue, no antibacterial or disinfectant. One of the optometrist had an unprofessional dress code (skimpy dress and stiletto shoes) but with a jacket on (which doesn't make you professional). They share an office that's really cluttered and seems unorganized. I came in for a problem but they seemed to care more about selling me their laser surgery service. Horrible.
