More about Dr. Roger Madris, MD

There are several guiding principles which I follow in my practice as a primary care internist. As I have already stated my primary concern is to do what is in your best interests, as my patient. Unfortunately as medicine evolves to a less personal more business oriented approach, this can no longer be taken for granted. First and foremost I believe ' Do no harm”. I have a very healthy respect for the medications I prescribe as every medicine can also cause adverse side effects. For this reason, whenever possible, I stress non pharmacologic strategies, such as exercise and nutrition, to prevent or treat a medical problem. Other options include physical therapy and stress reduction strategies. If medications become necessary I always seek the safest medications with well established track records and then carefully check that they are compatible with any other medications you are taking Availability is key! I understand that when you don’t feel well you want to see your doctor as soon as possible. It doesn’t matter how qualified your doctor is if he is not available when you need him. Therefore, we make it our priority to see acutely ill patients on the same day they call. I am able to provide this superior level of service by keeping the size of my practice small. I’d rather give exceptional care to a smaller number of patients than typical care to a much larger population of patients. I want to assure you, as well, that when you come to my office you will always be seen by me, your personal board certified physician, not a physician’s assistant, nurse practitioner, or a covering physician. My approach is humanistic and individualized. I believe in treating each patient as an individual rather than as a disease in the abstract. Any treatment I initiate is based on that particular patient and therefore I do not necessarily prescribe the same treatment to every patient. As a primary care physician, I take care of the whole person and therefore I seek to address emotional and psychological issues as they relate to health and illness as well. I am a strong believer in the “golden rule” - to treat others the way you would want to be treated. Nowhere is this more important than in the physician patient relationship. I want every patient to feel comfortable that they will be given the necessary time to express any concern they have in a friendly, non-judgmental environment. Every complaint is taken seriously and never dismissed. If you have a physical complaint, I want you to know that I care and will do whatever is necessary to diagnose and treat that symptom. If you decide to see me as your personal physician, I want you to know that my staff and I are here for you 24/7 to help and support you with any medical problems that may arise. This is “YOUR MEDICAL HOME.”

This doctor take advantage of patient. They asked us to pay extra fee for blood test or asked us to go to the nearest hospital. We have made ourselves available to this appointment but end up we were forced to go another doctor. They will tell all good TGIF on the phone when you booked but will change the story when we are in their office. Once, I have confirmed if this doctor can provide the specific immunization shot to my son. The doctor and office said yes but actually they did not have the shot and asked us to oh back to pediatrician.

He was very thorough in my examination he address my concerns with compassion and honesty.. I was searching for a small doctor practice and not a medical group. I'm old school I like to call my primary care doc and be seen. I do not like to deal with the bureaucracy of calling to speak to the medical assistant who then contacts the nurse who checks to see what day the doctor is at one of his locations and then will call me back. I loathe that... Dr. Madris is now my primary care doc after 11 years of searching!

Dr. Madris is a GREEDY, dishonest doctor. I have medical insurance that fully covers annual physical exam. I went to Dr. Madris for my physical exam where he did the physical examination and took my blood for my blood tests. When my blood tests arrived, I had to go to his office for a follow-up for him to explain my blood test results. For the follow-up, he charged me for the office visit. Why should I be charged for this follow-up to discuss my physical exam's blood test results when my annual physical exam is fully covered? His office said that the follow-up visit to explain my blood test results was not covered by my insurance. Dr. Madris is greedy and deceitful. Other doctors don't ask you to come in for a follow-up visit and charge you for that. Other doctors even just talk to you over the phone (FOR FREE or INCLUDED IN THE PREVIOUS VISIT'S FEE) to discuss the results. But NOT Dr. Madris. He will ask you to come in for a follow-up visit and charge you for that.

Dr. Madris was very gentle and attentive to my 88 year old father. He made my father feel comfortable and it went well considering it was an initial visit. I had already recommended Dr. Madris to my friends just upon reading his bio on the internet and my friends have gone and liked him very much....one friend was Toni DePippo who takes care of her 90 year old mom...we're in the same boat and always exchange notes on caring for elderly parents. One day (about 6 years back?) Toni mentioned looking for a doctor and I printed up Dr. Madris' bio and gave it to her telling her that judging from what his bio says...he seems like he'd be a great doctor.
Everyone was extremely friendly! I arrived early to fill out paperwork, and was seen precisely on schedule. Dr. Madris was very courteous, professional, and easily the best doctor Ive ever seen.
I felt comfortable with Dr. Madris. He takes his time. Very caring and has a great interest in getting you well. I would suggest others to visit him.

I would definitely recommend Dr. Madris. The day that I went they were understaffed as someone called in sick, I imagine the wait time would be much less for someone else.
