Dr. Roger Tsai joined Philadelphia Ophthalmology Associates in 2000. He was born in Taiwan and raised in Brazil. Dr. Tsai received his medical degree from the University of Gama Filho in Rio de Janeiro. He continued his education in the United States, earning his Doctor of Optometry degree from Pennsylvania College of Optometry. A member of the American Optometry Association and Pennsylvania Optometry Society for over 10 years, Dr. Tsai is certified to treat and manage ocular diseases. Along with promoting healthy eyes, he is particularly committed to providing the best care for the most complex vision corrections through precise refraction and the fitting of all varieties of contact lenses, including the difficult-to-fit rigid lenses and the soft specialty lenses.
Dr. Tsai has been married to his wife for 22 years and has four children. His activities in the community include coaching intramural soccer, speaking and educating about the eyes at elementary schools, serving as chair of a local church board and serving as a member of the Board of Directors of a global nonprofit organization. His language skills include fluency in English, Chinese Taiwanese and Portuguese.
