A native Las Vegan, Dr. Rory Murphy shares Dr. Burke’s enthusiasm for serving the local community with the highest level of eyecare. Dr. Murphy graduated from Bonanza High School, and earned his B.S. degree from the University of Nevada, Reno (with distinction) before achieving his Doctorate of Optometry from Pacific University in Oregon (with honors).
Dr. Murphy adds to the Eyediology comprehensive eye care services with extensive contact lens experience (including with keratoconus and irregular corneas) and has a particular interest in dry eye disease. Having needed vision correction from a young age himself gives Dr. Murphy strong empathy for younger patients; He believes nutrition is an important preventative measure for maintaining healthy vision and also prides himself on keeping up with the latest technology and treatment options as a dedicated lifelong learner.
Outside the office, Dr. Murphy enjoys outdoor activities with his family, including running, cycling, team sports and most of all, hiking Red Rock.

Very pleased with Dr. Murphy. He went above and beyond to make sure all of my questions were answered. I did not feel rushed. Dr. Murphy was able to explain in detail the best options for glasses and contacts. The exam was thorough and I was still able to complete my visit in a acceptable amount of time.

Eyediology Vision Care is such a high quality optometry office! Their genuine goal at the end of the day is patient care and that's what differentiates them from every other office in town. Every single exam or medical visit attended, the office of Dr. Jennifer Burke has never failed to exemplify professionalism and kindness. Both Dr. Murphy and Dr. Burke are extremely knowledgeable and passionate about what they do. Dr. Murphy specializes in specialty contacts and Dr. Burke specializes in pediatrics! 10/10 would recommend this practice to all my family and friends.

Dr. Murphy is extremely laid back and well composed. He makes me feel very comfortable during the exams and is always willing to explain and educate you on what he is doing and why he's doing it!
