Dr. Rupesh Vakil is a pulmonary and critical care physician in Houston, Texas and is affiliated with multiple facilities in the area, including Memorial Hermann Greater Heights Hospital. He is one of five intensivists who oversees the medical and cardiovascular intensive care units and the intermediate care unit at Memorial Hermann Greater Heights Hospital. Dr. Vakil manages patients with different types of lung disease and takes care of the critically ill. He is trained in procedures such as bronchoscopy, endotracheal intubation, central venous catheter placement, tube thoracostomy, arterial line placement, lumbar puncture, thoracentesis and paracentesis. He has recently become the medical director of the pulmonary line at Brookhollow Heights Transitional Care Center and Woodridge Nursing and Rehabilitation.
He received his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine and has been in practice for 10 years. He completed his internal medicine residency at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. He then went on to complete a pulmonary and critical care fellowship at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. He is board certified in internal medicine, pulmonary and critical care. Dr. Vakil has published several case reports and has presented at national conferences including Chest.
In his spare time, Dr. Vakil enjoys traveling, exercising, listening to music, playing sports and spending time with his family. He speaks multiple languages, including Spanish, Gujarati and Hindi.

First thing is, if you are coming to see Dr Vakil, you will pay for parking. He is young, proffesional ok bedside manners. I may look for another dr, If don't find anyone better I would come back to Dr Vakil.
