Going to the lady doc is not always the best experience. Especially finding a new one when you move. I really liked him and will continue to. Makes sure you're comfortable. The office staff is very nice as well. I would have like to not had to gone elsewhere for labs but that's ok.

Dr. Smith is a Board Certified Obstetrician/Gynecologist. He was born and raised in Northern California. Dr. Smith attended Brigham Young University for undergraduate studies. He received his Medical Doctorate degree from Tulane School of Medicine in New Orleans, LA. Dr. Smith then moved to Texas, where completed his residency in OB/GYN at UT. He was the administrative Chief Resident during his last year. He currently serves on the Quality Assurance-Peer Review Committee for IHC. Dr. For the last 9 years, Dr Smith volunteered at the 4th Street Homeless Clinic.
Dr. Smith states, “My goal is to form a personal relationship with each of my patients. By spending quality time and educating patients, we can make personalized medical decisions together, ensuring the best medical care”.
Dr. Smith and his staff provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care for women of all ages and backgrounds. He is fluent in Spanish. Although he has special interest in laparoscopy, infertility and incontinence surgery, the greatest part of his job is prenatal care and delivery. It is amazing to share in this wonderful experience with each new mother and her family. He makes a special effort to be present for each of his patient’s deliveries.
When Dr. Smith isn’t delivering babies, he plays hard. He has an amazing and supportive (and flexible) wife and 4 awesome kids. Dr. Smith has a passion for cars and food. He does most of the cooking at home and the kitchen is his creative outlet. Dr. Smith loves the outdoors. Among his favorites are boating, cycling, skiing and golf. He loves anything he can do with his kids.

Dr. Smith was one of the most considerate medical professionals I have ever encountered. This was my first appointment with him, but it was evident that he genuinely cares about his patients.
There were also several unexpected, appreciated details—such as a private corner dressing room (within the exam room), cute gowns, and sweet baby photos.

He's the first male gyno I've ever been to. I went for my yearly exam, and he hurt me less than anyone else has. He made a potentially awkward experience just fine. Bonus: he had a walked off corner of the room to change in and an actual fabric drape/mumu type of tube top, rather than a paper gown or sheet.

This was my first appointment with Dr. Russell Smith, and I plan to keep him as my doctor. I filled out most of my paperwork ahead of time (note that they do NOT accept Zocdoc paperwork, but their paperwork is linked on their own website), and just had one more form to fill before being seen. The office staff was all friendly and Dr. Smith met with me first in his office just to do introductions and get to know my questions and concerns before going to the exam room. I thought that was a nice personal touch on the appointment, and it made me feel much more comfortable with him as my doctor. The exam was quick and painless and I was in and out of the office in a little over 30 minutes.
