More about Ruth Donig White, SLP
Ruth has been working as a speech pathologist and language and speech therapist for over thirty years. She earned her Master's in Speech-Language Pathology from San Francisco State University. Prior to becoming a speech-language pathologist, she worked as an elementary school music teacher and taught high school English and French.
She has served as a clinical educator at San Francisco State University, where she taught and supervised graduate students while running the general child language clinic, general adult speech and language clinic, and assessment clinic. Currently, she sees adults and children in her private practice, providing both tele-therapy and in-person therapy.
Ruth works with clients from age two-and-a-half through adulthood and has experience in a variety of settings, including special education administration. In addition to her private practice, she has worked with at-risk high school and preschool students in schools. Before that, she was the Director of Speech Services at the Hearing and Speech Center in San Francisco, a non-profit serving the Bay Area. She has also worked with students with learning disabilities and reading problems.
She has some fluency in German and Hebrew, as well as considerable fluency in French. In her spare time, Ruth enjoys spending time with her adult children and grandchildren, loves music, plays piano, and enjoys baking, hiking, and exercise.
