Dr. Ryan Teeple practices comprehensive ophthalmology with special interests in advanced cataract surgery, premium lens implants, dry eye, glaucoma, and diabetic eye care. He is a compassionate physician and a talented cataract surgeon. He uses state of the art instruments to diagnose and treat all types of eye conditions. He is always eager to work with the newest technology, and the constant innovation in ophthalmology is one of the many factors that drew him to the field. He was one of the very first doctors in Arizona to implant the Tecnis Symfony IOL, which is the first and only presbyopia-correcting extended range of vision IOL.
Dr. Teeple is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. He completed residency at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas, TX. He is practically a native Tucsonan and completed both his undergraduate and medical school training at the University of Arizona. He loves the city of Tucson and he spends one day a week working at the El Rio Community Health Center working with underserved Tucsonans.

This was out first visit to this office. The front desk person was great. Very friendly and helpful. Our appointment was on time did not have to wait. Dr. Teeple's eye assistant was thorough and we really liked Dr. Teeple. Excellent eye exam and consultation. So glad we were able to get in and establish ourselves as patients. Walked in to a full waiting room. After doing at-the-counter paperwork I took a seat and waited less than 5 minutes, completed procedures with Claudia (technician with 14 years experience) and met with the doc promptly. The equipment seemed state-of-the-art.
My diagnosis was complex with counter indicators which were explained to me in plain language. I left feeling confident that I was receiving great healthcare and no matter my circumstance I was going to be treated respectfully and that my options would be presented in a way I will be able to make wise choices.
