the wait was about 60 minutes for a 10am appt. i think it's worth it because dr hesse actually reads your chart and any dr notes thoroughly before even asking you questions -- that is rare. she seems very competent and i feel that i am in good hands.

Having grown up on San Diego, California, Dr. Hesse received her Bachelors of Science in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology at the University of California, San Diego. She then graduated from the Ponce School of Medicine with honors in 1996. She has been a member of the Alpha Omega Honor Society since 1995. She went on to complete her surgical internship and otolaryngology residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. Dr. Hesse has been Board Certified in Otolaryngology/Head and Neck surgery since 2001 and has been practicing in South Florida since 2001. In addition to General adult and pediatric ENT, Dr. Hesse specializes in head and neck cancer surgery, endoscopic sinus surgery, pediatric and adult airway surgery including sleep apnea. Dr. Hesse holds membership in the following associations: Alpha Omega AMA AAO/HNS American College of Surgeons Ft. Lauderdale Surgical Society BCMA.

This was my first visit to an ENT and I couldn't be more happy with the results. For years I've suffered because of my tonsils and I tried to get help, but my PCP would only give me antibiotics that only helped for the duration that I took them.
Finally fed up with missing work so much due to tonsillitis, I made an appointment with Dr. Hesse. She was very helpful, extremely polite and explained everything in a way that I could understand. I suffer from severe anxiety and was incredibly nervous but I had no reason to be. Seeing that I had been dealing with these problems for years we both came to the conclusion that I needed to have my tonsils removed. I have not yet had the operation, but I know I'll be in great hands. We discussed the different forms of removal (coblation, which is supposed to be less abrasive, as opposed to the usual route most doctors take) and she was very patient with explaining the pros and cons to each form. She also helped me with some allergy problems I've been dealing with for just as long as my tonsils, so I knocked out two things with one visit.
The wait time was a bit long, but honestly it was worth it and I'd do it again. If it means that I know I'm going to receive the best care then I'd wait even longer. I highly recommend Dr. Sabine Hesse and look forward to my future appointment with her.

I felt Doctor Hesse was very good. The downfall was that she was on call at the ER the day of my appointments which resulted in almost an hour delay in being seen. A courtesy notification to the patient of possible delays in appointments due to being on call would have been appreciated. My time is as valuable as Dr. Hesse's. I found Dr. Hesse to be excellent in our appointment and would recommend her with a caution around being on time for appointments. This is only my first appointment and it could have been a fluke.
