Dr. Sachin Kalyani is a board-certified ophthalmologist and Maryland native with extensive training in the most modern techniques of cataract, corneal, and refractive surgery. After graduating with highest honors from the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill, he earned his medical degree magna cum laude from the University of Maryland in 2003. At the University of Maryland, he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, a professional medical organization that recognizes excellence in scholarship and elects members based on their leadership, character, community service, and professionalism.
His post-graduate training included an internship at Harbor Hospital in Baltimore followed by completion of an ophthalmology residency at the University of Maryland. He was then selected to complete a highly competitive fellowship specializing in Cornea, External Diseases, and Refractive Surgery at the Wilmer Eye Institute of Johns Hopkins Hospital, an internationally-renowned eye center.
Dr. Kalyani has been invited to give talks at national meetings and has also written numerous articles and educational chapters in the field of ophthalmology. He has also written articles for local media on various eye related topics. He is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Ophthalmology and The Maryland Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons, and has been selected as one of "America's Top Ophthalmologists." Along with dedicating his time to community health fairs in the Baltimore metropolitan area, he also has volunteered at medical clinics in India, Tanzania, and on a Native American Reservation in Arizona.

The front office staff was quite friendly.
I thought Dr. Kalyani was very professional and very thorough. He answered all my questions without my feeling that he had one foot out the door.
When I received the code to enter the ladies room, I was not given directions and I wandered aimlessly up and down the hall until I went back to the office and asked for directions. For future new patients, please include verbal directions along with the code if they ask about going to the ladies room .
Offering coffee and decaf along with cold bottled water is very nice and inviting.

Kalyani Eye Care is a State of the Art medical facility with a very pleasant and attentive staff. I visited Dr. Kalyani for some allergic reaction to my left eye. My wait time was less than five minutes and after an initial check-up by a trained and pleasant staff member, I was seen by the Doctor within 10 minutes. Very impressed with the thorough exam provided by Dr. Kalyani. Would recommend Dr. Kalyani and Kalyani Eye Care to anyone!

I like Dr.Kalyani been seeing him for about a year year and a half. While he's at the top of his game he is very down to earth and is very thorough with his exams, he will take the time to explain anything and answer any questions you may have in a way that you will understand. He is both comfortable talking shop or lighter subjects such as sports,etc. When you arrive at the office you are always greeted by his friendly and smiling staff, the waiting area is more than comfortable with plenty of room, I don't think i've had to wait no more then 15-20 minutes at the most. I would most certainly recommend the Kalyani Eye Center to anyone in need. I had an appointment today and upon arrival I signed my paperwork and they whisked me right to the back and we got started... appointment time 8:15 back at work by 9:15 about a fifteen minute ride both ways.

Dr. Kalyani has been my ophthalmologist for 7 years. I have followed him through 2 other practices. I drive 40 minutes to see him. Now that he is on his own, seeing him is better than ever. He has kind and polite front desk people and technicians. His office is welcoming, bright, and comfortable. He communicates with my other physicians immediately. Today, I came in for my appointment about 10 minutes early, and the technician started with me within 3 minutes. I've lived in 3 other cities, and Dr. Kalyani is my favorite eye doctor of all. Even though I see him once a year, he remembers me. His examination is thorough, and I believe that he gives me very high quality care. Naturally, I would highly recommend him!
