"I found NP Sally Young on Zocdoc, and her office promptly called me, the same day, to schedule my appointment. Practitioner Young was patient, knowledgeable in her experience, supportive and generous with information about my sister's health status and related administrative matters, ..like the insurance coverage process. Her nurse assistant was also knowledgeable, patient and gentle with my sister. Her office was accessible. We were well cared for. They treated both of us with the hospitality, dignity and civility that one treats a guest in their home - we were so welcomed here, on this first visit to NP Young's Near Northeast (DC) office. I highly recommend Practitioner Young to DC residents, especially those with developmental disabilities, seeking a health professional in whom total confidence in her skill and compassion can be invested. I'm so grateful she was there, when we needed her services, and we're looking forward to knowing her care in the future." Mel Dyer, Washington DC

Dr. Sally Young was very understanding, and allowed me to explain my issues on my own, before recommending treatment. When I asked to try an ointment first instead of oral antibiotics for my impetigo infection (to avoid any side effects) she gladly agreed. Excellent professional conduct overall.

Convenient location for me. I Was able to get an appt within a couple of days. Loved it. Thank you.

Very unfriendly, seemed as if I was bothering her with talking about my health concerns, impatient and not compassionate.
Sally and her staff were very friendly and professional. I highly recommend
Adequate. Friendly. Very brief. Concerned that my eye issue was not fully addressed.

Very good bedside manner and super knowledgeable. ?
I had a very disappointing experience with the front office. Charkeitha Williamson was, in my experience, very unprofessional. My appointment was canceled without a clear explanation, and the office did not honor my scheduled appointment. Instead of taking accountability for the confusion or inconvenience, I felt that there was little ownership of the issue and poor communication throughout the process. On the other hand, Sally Young, NP, APRN, was wonderful. She was kind, compassionate, professional, and made me feel heard. I genuinely enjoyed being under her care. It is unfortunate that the front office experience overshadowed the excellent care provided by Sally Young. Because of the administrative issues and the way I was treated, I have decided not to continue with this practice.

Awful experience from both the practice and Zocdoc. Zocdoc shouldn't have listed availability for 9AM when it opens at 9:30. Had to wait, and the practitioner and receptionist were also late which was frustrating from my end and the two other individuals waiting for treatment. The larger problem I have with the practice is that I made an appointment for a vaccine, and they said they didn't have it. I do not know why, if that's the case, they wouldn't have cancelled my appointment. I took PTO, commuted 20 minutes, and waited for nearly an hour to be told we don't have that, and "I dont know why we didn't cancel." Absolutely inexcusable for a practice to do that and waste peoples time. Do not recommend.
Although the staff was great, They didn’t have any vaccines nor was any of their equipment up to date . They are in need of a serious renovation.

Unfortunately ZocDoc showed this provider as a urologist to me but the are a Nurse Practitioner. Despite that, she provided good advice, immediate assistance with appropriate medication, an appointment for bloodwork at Labco, and a list of urologist with advice to make an appointment right away.

Not so much the nurse but the office was hard to find because suite number was not listed. I got the impression that they primarily see addiction patients.
NOT a GI doctor as Zocdoc stated

Bedside manner of Sally Young was terrible. They prescribed me an antibiotic I was allergic to and then wouldn’t prescribe me a new one. Going on 5 hours since I contacted them requesting a new prescription now.

The nurse was completely unfriendly, barely saying a word beyond my last name in order to call me from the waiting room and "stand" in order to tell me to get on a scale in the hallway. I understand it's not a nurse's job to be friendly, it's their job to treat patients, but I just found the demeanor off-putting. The doctor herself was also a little strange in how she conducted herself and I had a really hard time understanding her accent. Again, I understand an accent is not her fault, but I would have expected her to speak a little more slowly and make sure I was with her, as I felt awkward asking repetitive questions to try to understand what she was saying.
Great job

Efficient, informative, caring.
The communication was very unclear with my doctor to the point that she never communicated my test results, did not check my temperature or breathing, and sent me a prescription but did say why I was getting it, what it was, or directions for taking it.
Extremely professional.

Young isn’t friendly, she didn’t say hi or anything when she came into the room. I had to ask repeatedly about receiving treatment for why I was there for. I was never told, “I hope you feel better, have a nice day, happy holidays or anything of the such.” I don’t know if she’s aware of her behavior but it’s unpleasant and isn’t friendly. I think there’s a huge difference from being quiet and being unapproachable. It was almost as if she didn’t want to speak to me or even engage in conversation with me.

I did not have a good experience with Dr. Young. It was incredibly hot in the building to start… Then, when asked my typical physical questions, she came in with a folded old envelope to take the questionnaire. Very unprofessional and did not put me at ease. I left not knowing next steps and after receiving my lab tests (that I needed to book another appointment for), I never received follow up. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend.

The physician demonstrated exceptional professionalism and patient care. She actively listened to my concerns, ensuring a thorough understanding of my medical issues. Her punctuality in conducting all necessary tests was commendable, and she provided reassurance regarding the timely availability of my results. Furthermore, she took the initiative to inquire about my overall health, demonstrating a comprehensive approach to patient care. I am highly satisfied with the quality of service provided by this physician and would confidently recommend her to others seeking medical assistance.
