A leader in the field of Urology, as well as a compassionate, cooperative health care professional, Dr. Shirodkar has been treating patients in Montgomery County for more than 2 years. His approach is one of a partnership with his patients, which has won him a loyal area following.
Dr. Shirodkar grew up in Tyler, Texas, and completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Pennsylvania; He then attended medical school at Baylor College of Medicine, and an internship and Urology residency at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital Program in Miami, Florida. During his residency he served as chief resident from 2010 to 2011 and also received the Robert Zeppa Award for both his research and clinical work.
Advanced urological cancer techniques, including laparoscopic (key-hole) and robotic surgery are part of Dr. Shirodkar’s expertise, He is a prolific published writer of urological topics and scientific papers ranging from kidney transplantation to genetic research of urological, prostate, and kidney cancers.
Dr. Shirodkar and his wife Jennifer, a pediatric nurse, reside in Montgomery County with their two children and two dogs. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family, cycling and exercising.

Dr Shirodkar's office is so well organized they were able to fit me in right away. He had intended to propose that I return in two weeks for another procedure. When I mentioned that I had a scheduling problem, he asked if I would like to do it today. SO, bottom line, I got more done than originally planned, saved an extra trip, AND completed my visit minutes before my appointment time.
On top of all that, they are nice, friendly people.

I got to the office early with my registration & medical history forms downloaded & already filled out. I turned these in, along with my ID & insurance cards, sat down with a magazine for a few minutes, & was called about 20 minutes _before_ my scheduled appointment. My pulse & BP were taken, & after a few minutes Dr. Shirodkar came in. I consider him to be a very good mix of friendly, professional, personable, interested, & informative. He covered my problem, our options, & his recommendations thoroughly & succinctly. I was on my way home not long after my scheduled appointment time - a happy camper.

There was a very beautiful medical center and offices and beautiful relaxing Woodlands on a spring day, and the office staff was excellent, and in addition Dr. Shirodkar was very excellent in determining problems and the facilities had excellent state of the art equipment. Dr. Shirodkar is by far the best specialist that I have ever had the privilege of being seen by. I was in and out within a hour with a diagnosis and a plan of action. Dr. Shirodkar's bed side manners, compassion, and caring for his patients is a credit not only to Dr. Shirodkar, but also to his profession. His entire staff was courteous, friendly and helpful. I can honestly say, this is the first time seeing a specialist that I actually enjoyed my visit. Thanks to Dr. Shirodkar and his entire staff.

I liked Dr. Shirodkar's manner. He was thorough and explained things to me in a way for women to understand what is happening to them. I am on treatment for 10 days and then have tests done to make sure no unforeseen problems are occurring. I appreciate his office making time for me and being kind to me.
