Dr. Johnson is the Medical Director at Hope Medical Group, PC. He grew up in Mbierebe Akpawat, Ibesikpo-Asutan, Akwa Ibom, Nigeria and came to the United States to pursue his education.
Dr. Johnson graduated with a Bachelors of Science (Highest Honors) in Medical Technology and Biology (Pre-Medicine) from Tuskegee University. He went to the University of Alabama to complete his Doctor of Medicine degree and interned in the Department of Surgery at Michigan State University Integrated Surgery Program in East Lansign, MI.
He completed his residency in Cleveland, Ohio in the Department of Surgery for Meridia Huron Teaching Hospitals. Dr. Johnson's interests are in out-patient surgery, urgent care, personal injury, and general practice.
Dr. Johnson founded Hope Medical Group, PC in 2000 because he saw a need in Stone Mountain for a community clinic. He enjoys the patients who come into Hope and looks forward to serving them with the highest quality care. He has an innate desire to teach and incorporate health management plans into his patients visits to make sure patients play an active role in their wellness

Not happy but they said they were booked etc. that is why the wait was horribly long. Comfortable waiting room and the staff was extremely nice. But my sons didn't care for the doctor and his abrupt demeanor during the physical. They said they felt uncomfortable when he examined their scrotums (misspelled). And they asked me to get a female doctor next year for their physical. And for the first time in 19'years I didn't formally meet the doctor himself. I have always spoken to the pediatrician themselves. It is a value to speak with the doctor that "cares" for and about your children. And he not once even looked at me or asked me to come in the room to discuss my children's health himself. I know for years my son has had low iron and right now I don't know. I just know he has a gash on his finger (both of them do) from a "prick" on their finger (never left a gash in years) but the results are "unknown".... Again... The staff was very accommodating. And the waiting room was comfortable and clean.
