I searched for a primary care physician and made an appointment but when I got there I found a closed urgent care center (I was first appointment of the day, but their hours were not posted) and the receptionist and doctor seemed surprised I was looking for a primary care physician even though I put that in my comment on my patient form that I filled out on the website. They did not print the form, instead asking me to fill out their form which asked for less information than the zocdoc form. They arrived late and rushed me through the screening and sent me on my way with a prescription for a medication without telling me what the medication was and without discussing my history of taking medication for my particular issue. The doctor was not interested in any of the other minor concerns that brought me to look for a doctor and I was handed a zeroxed copy of a primary care doctor whom i could contact if I so choose. It was a waste of time, surprisingly incomplete information exchange both ways, and poor quality service even for an urgent care center. One thing zocdoc can do is clearly identify doctors as urgent care only, even if they list themselves as primary care physicians. Thanks Zocdoc for a great tool which, with some refinement and cooperation from physicians, can only get better.
