There's no substitute for years of experience in something like allopathic medicine. You've got to see many people with many ailments over long periods of time to understand the progression/alleviation of diseases, so you can tell how a patient is doing relative to other with similar problems.
So 50 years is about the best qualification you can get.
He's willing to do televisits but also realizes the limitations of them. ( He stated he wanted to "listen to my lungs, "which isn't easy with common technology at this time.
Dr. Rush spotted a suspicious but not unambiguously high test score, prodded me to see a specialist, and lucky for me we spotted cancer just in time for me to still be running around a few years later with no signs of recurrence. I follow up with timely re-checks every few months.
The only limitations I know of are understandable, I don't think he prescribes opiates, it's a mine field and prob better to see a pain specialist.

I was able to get an appointment to see Dr. Rush quickly, which I really appreciate as a new patient. He was very considerate, listening to what was bothering me and put my mind at ease right away. He answered my questions and made recommendations. He took sufficient time with me and walked me out to the office manager when we were done. He’s a very caring doctor.

Dr. Rush was rude, unhelpful, and does not seem to understand the concept that he is appearing in search results for Orange County though he is apparently located in Fresno. Furthermore, I received a confirmatory text message from his office prior to the appointment that listed the wrong time. Beyond bedside manner, there are clearly some issues on his end properly technologically understanding and integrating with the Zocdoc platform. Experiences like these are what make me reluctant to deal with doctors in the first place.

Second time I’ve came to see Dr. Rush. He’s a good doctor that diagnosed me with cancer but was extremely helpful and made me feel safe during the process.

I am a health care executive who was in need of a high quality, high performing primary care physician after mine retired.
Dr. Rush, his Nurse Practitioner, and very professional Staff certainly fit the bill. I felt very comfortable right from the start.
I arrived a few minutes early and was checked-in, called back and roomed 1 minute before my scheduled appointment.
The Nurse Practitioner (Alexis) spent more than 30 minutes with me, ensuring she had all of my health histories documented to ensure a full picture of my health history and current health needs. TOGETHER, both Dr. Rush and NP Alexis both consulted with me and discussed my care plan. After the consultation, the Staff swiftly coordinated referrals to a specialist and the tests needed in a timely fashion.
All-in-all, a GREAT experience from start to finish!

What a find! I was seeking a new PCP after a series of disappointing tries, when I was lucky to meet Dr. Rush, a great, old-school physician who listens, considers and recommends - and is just exactly who I want to help me manage my health.
Dr. Rush is very personable, takes his time with you, has tons of experience and is very kind. Took time with the appointment, asked lots of pertinent questions and noticed an error with my medications.
His staff is remarkably friendly, helpful, kind, professional, prompt and efficient. I look forward to getting to know them better.
Overall, and what is so terribly important to me as a senior citizen, is that Dr Rush and his staff treated me with respect, interest and care.

What I liked about Doctor Rush is that he really listened to me and explained everything to me in detail. Most Doctors don’t give you 10 minutes if they’re time. Doctor Rush however was very thorough and his great bedside manner was definitely appreciated. Thank you!!
