Her staff was extremely helpful and kind and the office is very clean! I didn't wait to see her and she was great with her timing and getting through the appointment in a timely manner. In just one visit, I was able to tell that Dr. Carlson is a competent, caring physician who truly takes the time to perform a thorough examination. She explains her reasoning behind her decisions, and offers ideas on differential diagnoses. In an area filled with primary care physicians that rush through appointments and are quick to just prescribe medication or brush off concerns, Dr. Carlson is a breath of fresh air.

Dr. Carlson was great. She was kind and took her time to examine me, get to know me and answer any questions that I had. This was my first time coming to this practice and I am so glad I did. I'm not a big fan of going to the doctors and was a little nervous but that went away right away. The woman at the front desk was also very helpful and kind. Doctor Carlson will definitely be my new primary doctor that's for sure! Highly recommend!

Despite the fact that Dr. Carlson had the day off and my appointment was technically not supposed to be booked, she came to the office and saw me in my time of need. I was in a lot of pain and she was able to provide comfort and medical expertise in a calm and professional demeanor.

I never realized this office was right here on Maple Ave, in between Glen Rock and Ridgewood. Both Dr Carlson and her front desk staff were great. They got me into the exam room right away. Dr Carlson listened really well (not always common for doctors these days) and took the time to understand the full context around my situation. I very highly recommend this practice to others in the area and know I'll be coming back here, too!

I am moving out of the area and I'm so sad that I won't be in the care of Dr. Carlson. I had the opportunity to go for one visit before relocating and despite knowing I wouldn't be a repeat patient, Dr. Carlson met with me for over an hour. She let me explain myself fully, she asked me a lot of questions and we collaborated to find a solution. She's the only doctor I have ever been to in my 31 years that was compassionate and empathic. A true gem. I highly recommend.

Went into the office and got taken in right away! Unfortunately, there were some mistakes and my insurance was not in her network so I was not able to keep her as my primary. However, she was so sweet she took me in anyway and did a full check-up with me! She was really thorough and seemed to really be genuinely interested in trying to understand my background. I visited Dr. Carlson earlier this summer and she will be my new primary care doctor. I've recommended several friends to her as well! The annual check-up appointment was great - very comprehensive. Dr. Carlson took time to actually get to know me, understand by medical background, and provide thoughtful recommendations.

So I went to Dr. Carlson as kind of an emergency on a Saturday after I had slipped, fell and hit my head pretty hard at work. I couldn't afford an ER visit so she was my last hope!
Before the appointment even started, she took the time to know my family's and my own medical background to know what to look for in the future. (my whole family wasn't with me, she just asked) The ease of getting in and out quickly was astounding!
In the appointment itself, she did a whole bunch of physical and neurological tests like touching my finger from my nose to her finger and following a flashlight. She also did range of motion tests with my arms since I tried to catch my fall.
I went in there unable to turn my head on day 2 and unable to lift my right arm above my shoulders. She sent me home with muscle relaxers and its day 6 now. I now feel like my normal self! ?? (aside from concussion symptoms of course)
