She has a BA in Biology from University of Missouri-Columbia, a Doctorate in Medicine from University of Missouri-Columbia School of Medicine and completed her Residency in Psychiatry at University of Colorado. Dr. Cox has extensive experience in treating patients with all types of psychiatric issues, from the mildest to the most severe. Dr. Cox is sensitive to her patients’ needs to be heard and understood and always explains to them the reasoning behind whatever treatment she is recommending. Dr. Cox sees your relationship as that of a team, making your input very valuable. Also, she is sensitive to the unique issues facing our LGBTQ community, bringing her own understanding of their struggles to the table. Outside of work, Dr. Cox loves anything outdoors including hikes in the mountains, walks along trails and the beach and just sitting with nature. She loves her daughter and fur babies (2 dogs and 2 cats) and loves spending time with them. Also, she dabbles in painting and writing.
