This is the first time I've ever frequented this office or doctor. The wait was a little long, but one of the staff members mentioned (without me saying anything re: the wait or how busy it was), "I'm sorry for the wait. This is our busiest day." If you don't go on the busiest day, your wait will likely be much less. Aside from the slight wait - first to be seen (about 45 minutes) then after the appointment to check out (about 15 minutes), everything else was excellent! The location was convenient to my home. This is just one of many locations around San Antonio so there is likely one near you. The staff was friendly, professional, efficient, and helpful. The doctor was excellent in all areas. Sadly, I learned upon checking out that he is retiring soon. I can't vouch for the other doctors, but if they are anything like the one I saw today, I would definitely recommend this business/location.

Friendly staff, my wait time was a bit long (30 minutes). Once I was taken to the back, Dr. Roberts saw me right away and was very attentive. He communicated very clearly to me as I explained my condition.

Dr. Sanford “Sandy ” Roberts II was born in San Diego, California. He is a graduate of the Air Force Academy and he attended medical school at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS) in Bethesda, Maryland where he was selected to the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) honor medical society.
He went on to complete his ophthalmology residency at Wilford Hall Medical Center and he also completed a Pediatric Ophthalmology fellowship at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina.
Dr. Roberts is joining our practice after serving over 24 years in the United States Air Force. For the last ten years he served as Chief of the Air Force Pediatric Ophthalmology Service while maintaining a diverse comprehensive ophthalmology practice as a leading cataract and refractive surgeon.
He was awarded the resident teacher of the year in 2006 and he has participated in twelve humanitarian missions to Honduras, Mexico, and El Salvador. Dr. Roberts is married to his childhood sweetheart, Rosa, and they have four children. He enjoys spending time with his family, golfing and roller skating.

I would not go back to that Dr. I saw! He was mean to me, he had an attitude, and he offended me! and I dont go to the Dr. to be treated like that! I left there yesterday and I STILL dont know what is wrong with my eyes!!! If he is treating me like that, then he's treating everybody else like that!
