As a founding member of 'California Specialty Physicians', with advanced training in interventional Pulmonology, we provide outpatient or inpatient specialty care at south bay hospitals including Regional Medical Center, Good Samaritan Hospital, O'Connor Hospital and El Camino Hospital. Pulmonary Function Test, Cardiopulmonary Exercise Testing, Oxygenation evaluation are some of the comprehensive evaluations done at the office. We specialize in complicated lung afflictions like lung cancer, severe COPD or asthma, Pulmonary Hypertension, dyspnea, Interstitial Lung Disease like pulm Fibrosis, Complicated pneumonias including Tuberculosis etc.
We assist very sick patients in the ICU at regional hospitals and excel in life saving procedures, including intubations and ventilator management, arterial or venous access, chest tubes, thoracentesis, paracentesis, Lumbar puncture, Swan-Ganz catheterizations to evaluate cardiac status etc. We are a select few who perform minimally invasive surgeries as a qualified Interventional pulmonary specialist in south bay.

First, I waited for almost an hour after I’d checked in. The doctor was polite in his words and educative but (1) was always constantly looking into the monitor, focused on typing things and (2) didn’t educate me on the things that I care about - aka was in the mode of talking. He didn’t explain what he saw in my mouth when he looked in. Seemed too opinionated and not a great listener, overall making me feel like some of my concerns were not discussed. Also some of his diagnoses is quite different from my intuition so I’m going to get a second opinion. Overall I’ll try to avoid in future unfortunately.
Having worked with very professional and practical doctors in past this came as a surprise. Tbh this is a trend I see with zocdoc doctors and I’m going to try to avoid them and book through sutter or other chains.

The time I booked wasn't actually available- needed to do the appointment 1 week later than I had booked. They also refuses to give results without scheduling a followup appointment (no doubt to get more insurance benefits).

I don’t know if this office is very trustworthy. The doctor is nice but the receptionist is very unprofessional. The office has only one doctor for all the patients. I waited more than 30 mins to see the doctor. I went to a different place to get X-ray scan. Not convenient. Also i wasn’t able to login to the patient portal to view doctor’s note and exam results. I called the support, they said the office never entered my information in the system. The receptionist said she doesn’t know if she can help me get access. So unprofessional. It has been a week but I cannot see my exam result and dr’s note.

I was asked to come in earlier for my appointment. I did. I was out in an exam room and waited anyway. in fact, he attempted to take a "quick" telemed appointment while I waited! fast forward a full MONTH: I was scheduled for a sleep study. the day of, called to confirm. 4pm called to say it had to be rescheduled because insurance authorization was pending. A MONTH. and I blocked off the night and next day for that. horrible and disrespectful.

Also his billing department is unresponsive to my queries on phone - always telling me someone will email me but they never do. I do think he is a well qualified doctor and has good bedside manners except he seems very distracted by his mobile phone.

I am Very disappointed in this doctor. Which is shocking from reading other good reviews for him. I was his last appointment for the day at 1:00pm and he was VERY rushed. I even heard him take a phone call and said, oh my 1:00 showed up. and Okay I am leaving right now. He did not spend the time with me to listen to me and what is going on. He automatically assumes I have sleep apnea when I have NO symptoms but almost all symptoms of Narcolepsy. And that is why I came in was for a narcolepsy evaluation. His mind was somewhere else and he only heard little parts what I was saying. I told him that I am going though a divorce and he didnt hear that, he just heard that I was married. And he even said to me this, "You can't expect for other people to take care of you. You can't expect your kids to, your husband or your mother. You have to take care of yourself". I was VERY offended. I don't expect anyone to take care of me and I have no idea why he would of judged me that way either! I am a single parent of 4 kids and I work very hard to take care of them and myself. And I am there for my mother since my father recently passed away. What a waste of time this was for me and money! Now I have to find another doctor who will actually listen to what is going on and do the appropriate testing for my symptoms.

Dr. Agarwal is an excellent doctor who really takes his time to investigate and treat his patients. He is highly experience and confident, yet has excellent bedside manner and the ability to explain things in a way that's understandable to the patient. His office staff is friendly and caring as well, really taking time to explain the new patient process and the online portal system for communication.
After spending over a month getting the run around from other doctors, in and out of hospitals....I am so glad that I found Dr. Agarwal- he knew just the right tests to order to really verify and piece together my "hidden" medical condition.

I am very happy with my first visit with this doctor. He exudes confidence that comes with experience. He diagnosed my problem, took time to explain it in detail, and prescribed no medication! Instead, he wants to do tests to make sure has has the necessary and accurate "data" before embarking on a treatment plan.

Since this was my first time visiting the doctor, Dr, Sanjay listens well, explains clearly. A great experience and a great relief. Dr. Sanjay was very patient, and went through my medical history with me. His staff was friendly and gave me head-up on the procedures (be it checking my blood pressure check or EKG) they were going to conduct.
Doctor Sanjay was very professional and thorough, not to mention a gem of a man who is a pleasure to talk to. I would highly recommend him to others.
