Dr. Mehuron was born and raised in Tampa, Florida. She attended Gaither High school, and later attended the University of South Florida where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.S. in Biology and a minor in psychology. During that time period she was an active volunteer at the Shriner’s Hospital for Children. It was here that she discovered her true passion and calling, patient care. She attended medical school at the University of Florida, (go Gators!), and graduated in the top third of her class. She completed her training at Bayfront Medical Center Family Medicine Residency. While there she focused her studies on women’s health and pediatrics. She developed a lecture series intended to educate junior residents on various topics in outpatient medicine, and led a team of physicians to create a guide for Newborn Infant Care for new moms. She has served as team doctor for the football team of a local high school in St. Petersburg, and participated in community events to help prepare children for school. Dr. Mehuron is an active member of the American Medical Association and American Academy of Family Physicians. Her special interests include women’s health, pediatrics, preventative medicine, and dermatology.
Dr. Mehuron is married with a one year old baby girl, Avery. Other interests include playing the piano, crafting, cooking, traveling, and spending time with family. She is excited to be joining such an esteemed healthcare organization as Florida Hospital, and to be working alongside another former Bayfront graduate, Dr. Berland. She is thrilled to be practicing in her hometown, ten minutes away from the house she was raised in, and looks forward to meeting all of her new patients.
