Hi there, I'm Sauntrice! My name is Sauntrice O'Quin. I have been in the social service field for over two decades and have been a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner for 4 years. I earned my Master's in Nursing from McNeese State University. My approach I have a non-judgmental approach to the clients I serve, and I believe that everyone has the right to live life to their fullest potential. My focus I treat a diverse group of patients and have experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings. I treat mood disorders, anxiety, schizoaffective disorder, ADHD, and substance use disorder. My communication style I like to create a comfortable and non-judgmental atmosphere for my clients. I always end each session on a positive note; in addition, I encourage clients to set an achievable goal that we can discuss in our follow-up session. My first session with you To ensure we have a productive first visit, please be sure to fill out your intake form in advance! During our first visit, we will complete a full mental health assessment and evaluation. There will be lots of questions during this visit, especially regarding your medical and mental health history. Working together to determine an accurate diagnosis and treatment plan is important for your mental health. This may require multiple appointments. Controlled medications may be available from my practice on a limited basis and rarely during the first session. All paperwork, such as FMLA and related forms, will only be considered after several sessions of treatment and as clinically indicated. Once we have completed your evaluation, we can then discuss a treatment plan specific to your needs that will get you on the road to feeling better as soon as possible!
