More about Savannah Raney, RD, MS
Savannah's interest in nutrition began during a break from school. Originally a business major, she realized it was not the right path for her. When considering what to study next, she wanted to choose something she was truly passionate about. While away from school, she developed a love for cooking, especially with a focus on healthy eating. When she discovered she could become a dietitian and help others live healthier lives through nutrition, she was thrilled and enrolled immediately.
Savannah earned both her Bachelor's in Nutrition/Dietetics and her Master's in Nutrition Science from Auburn University. Her education and training in Medical Nutrition Therapy enable her to support clients with various conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, chronic kidney disease/dialysis, and disease prevention and wellness. She has a distinct passion for longevity, healthy aging, cooking for health, and diabetes care. Savannah's thesis research compared longevity diets to determine which eating patterns promote the longest lifespans.
Savannah believes that all people deserve nutritional care and practices with a Health at Every Size (HAES) informed approach. She feels everyone should have access to nutritional care to help clients live their longest, healthiest lives free of preventable disease.
She holds a certification in Managing Type 2 Diabetes and is currently pursuing further training for the CDCES specialty diabetic credential. Outside of work, Savannah enjoys hiking, yoga, soap making, and gourmet healthy cooking.
