Dr. Saveen Kondamuri has been with Midwest Interventional Spine Specialists for over 12 years. He is passionate about the work we do to improve the lives of our patients by reducing pain.
Dr. Kondamuri completed his medical residency at the University of Pittsburgh Shadyside Hospital in 1993. He completed his fellowship in Pain Management at Cook County Hospital. He then completed his residency in Anesthesiology at Cook County Hospital in 1996.
Dr. Kondamuri is Board-Certified in Anesthesiology and Board-Eligible in Pain Medicine. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Anesthesiology. He is also a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, the American Medical Association, and American Society of Interventional Pain Practitioners (ASIPP).
Dr. Kondamuri has special interest and expertise in treating axial low back and lumbar radiculopathy. He has attended numerous conferences and training workshops to perfect his techniques for providing interventional low back procedures. He is well-versed in the use of the latest injection techniques utilizing fluoroscopic guidance. Dr. Kondamuri divides his time between the office pain management practice and OR anesthesia.
Born in Chicago, it was inevitable that he would become a diehard sports fan. He loves all sports and is a huge fan of Chicago’s professional teams. He also loves to get in an occasional round of golf. Spending time with family is also very important to Dr. Kondamuri, even at work. His brother is Dr. Shaun Kondamuri.
