Dr. Scott Earle moved to the Hudson Valley eight years ago with his wife and now 10 year old daughter, Autumn and 7 year old son, Hudson, from Huntsville, Alabama. They hope to bring southern hospitality and charm to his patients at LaGrange Eye Care. He attended Auburn University and graduated Magna Cum Laude. Dr. Earle graduated from Alabama School of Optometry, which is consistenly ranked number one in the nation. His residency was completed in ocular disease and refractive surgery management from Omni Eye Specialists in Denver, Colorado. Only 2% of all Optometrists complete a residency in ocular disease. He is a member of the American Optometric Association, New York Optometric Association and the LaGrange Rotary.
As the health care provider first consulted by many patients, the optometrist has the responsibility to determine whether the patient is threatened by any health problems which may not be currently addressed by other professionals. While protection of life and sight are the optometrist’s first responsibility, many systemic diseases – not treated by optometrists – are first diagnosed as a result of the optometric examination.
