Dr. Meyer founded Maxim Spine to provide a unique approach to the care of patients with spinal disorders. Our team aims to provide personalized, best in class care to encourage rapid return to function and restore quality of life. As an active person Dr. Meyer understands the importance of being able to do what you love and tailors the care plan to each patient’s individual goals. As a surgeon Dr. Meyer remains at the forefront of the spine surgery. Following graduation from Brown University Medical School, he completed residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center in NYC and was subsequently selected to a prestigious spine fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Meyer has performed thousands of spinal surgeries over the last decade and remains a national leader in spine surgery. He is widely published throughout the peer literature and consistently has research presented at national meetings. He has served as Scientific Program Chair and Annual Meeting Chair for the Spine Summit, an annual meeting of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and Congress of Neurological Surgeons. Dr. Meyer was recently chosen to be the sole spine surgeon in the state of NJ to participate in a FDA trial for a new motion preservation device for lumbar spondylolisthesis. Most of all, Dr. Meyer and his team are obsessed with providing individualized high-quality care to his patients. It is that dedication to personalized quality care that makes Dr. Meyer’s largest referral source his former patients.
