As a cum laude graduate of the The Peddie School, a college preparatory school in New Jersey, Dr. Sackman had many options. He attended Washington University in St. Louis, where he graduated with Honors with a B.A. in Economics. Feeling the call of Medicine over Business, he was proud to be accepted into one of the first classes at The New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. He followed medical school with a residency in General Surgery, at a Level-1 trauma center. After completing his General Surgery training, he practiced 2 years of Emergency Medicine. It was during those years that he realized that his ultimate goal was to perform technical and precision surgery. He entered a dual residency program in Otolaryngology (Ear, Nose and Throat) and Facial Plastic Surgery, and became Board Certified in both. Dr. Sackman has been in practice in the Lehigh Valley for many years now, but he never stops learning. He continues to increase his knowledge through courses, conferences and seminars in the ever expanding field of Plastic Surgery. He maintains memberships in the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, American Osteopathic Association, Liquid Face Lift Assocation, among others. His years of formal medical education, combined with many years of treating patients, have given him the skills and experience needed to provide the best possible care, and consistently excellent results.
