Dr. Simon attended the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana where he graduated with honors with his Bachelor of Science with a degree in Psychology. He then went on to attend Rush Medical School in Chicago receiving his MD. Dr. Simon graduated in the top 10% of his medical school class and was elected to the distinguished Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. After finishing medical school, Dr. Simon completed his internship in general surgery and residency in Urology at Loyola Medical Center in Chicago. He then completed his education by completing a fellowship in laparoscopy at the Mayo Clinic.
Dr. Simon is a board-certified diplomate by the American Board of Urology and is a fellow in the American College of Surgeons. He has published multiple articles in the peer reviewed urology literature and has presented at many national meetings.
Dr. Simon practices all aspects of urology. He has a particular interest in minimally invasive kidney surgery as well as minimally invasive procedures for voiding issues, such as Prostiva for prostate enlargement and Interstim for urinary frequency.
