Board Certified in both General Surgery and Plastic Surgery, A collaborator for the Center of Excellence in Breast Cancer and former member of the Breast Cancer Program at the Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center, Dr. Spear also founded and directed the Washington, D.C. area 6 year integrated training program in plastic surgery.
Dr. Spear is an internationally recognized leader in plastic surgery, specializing in breast surgery and cosmetic surgery of the face and body. His areas of specialization and surgical expertise include a full range of procedures for the aging face, complex cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the breast, body contouring, rhinoplasty, and other types of cosmetic facial surgery. Dr.Spear is a true leader and specialist at the forefront of the medical profession. He is the best plastic surgeon in the D.C. area. recepient of many awards, voted best of the best Dr's and there is a reason. Dr Spear represents dignity, respect, and a understanding of what his patients are trying to achieve. Whether elective cosmetic or reconstructive surgery, Dr. Spear is a must for your consultation! all of my visits were great. Dr. Spear and his staff are so personable and professional before and after the surgery they gave me information that was helpful and answered all of my questions. Dr Spear truly cared and used his professional expertise to help make informal decisions and checked on me while recovering. I enjoy my new proportion and sizing.

Dr. Spear is a highly skilled plastic surgeon & a pioneer in the Area of breast Reconstruction. My Reconstruction with implants after mastectomy was not straight forward. One of my tissue expanders had moved too far out of place that it was going to be a challenge to make my reconstruction look good. I met with four other highly recommended surgeons prior to my visit with Dr. Spear. After all 4 visits I found myself asking the same question: He seems good but is he good enough? Then finally I got the confidence I needed when I met Dr. Spear. Dr. Spear is a warm, friend, kind man. His bed-side manner is one of the best that I have ever encountered. It was very evident that his level of skill, knowledge & expertise in the Area of breast Reconstruction is unrivaled. He enjoys his work & really cares about his patients. My Reconstruction looks so natural; you cannot even tell I have implants. I am very happy that I chose Dr. Spear to do my surgery & recommend him without reservation.

It was a wonderful experience. From the initial consultation, I felt extremely comfortable with Dr. Spear. He is an extremely knowledgeable surgeon and a very personable man. Dr. Spear was able to help me achieve the the exact goal I was looking for with my breast augmentation. I would highly recommend his services to anyone undergoing plastic surgery.
