I had trouble making the appointment with reception. I made three unanswered calls to the office during normal business hours. Ultimately scheduled via ZocDoc but the appointment needed to be rescheduled by reception as the calendars were not in sync.
On day of visit staff was helpful, courteous, efficient, and professional.
I have seen Dr. Griggs for two injuries in the last three years and I believe he has a practical and careful approach to diagnosing and treating issues that I have presented. He works quickly and effectively while requiring accurate testing and data to provide the best prognosis. I had gone to an unaffiliated urgent care location first for the injury and did not feel confident in their prognosis. Upon visiting Dr. Griggs he provided a more effective prognosis that would ensure a better long-term recovery. He may not have the warmest bedside manner but he is professional and I feel much better knowing I have a great physician if I hurt my hands or fingers.

Dr. Griggs received his medical degree from the University of Louisville, KY, and moved on to his residency at the Rhode Island Hospital in conjunction with Brown University. He then completed his hand surgery fellowship at the University of Houston, Texas. Dr. Griggs also completed a fellowship in elbow and shoulder surgery at the University of Pennsylvania before joining Hand Surgery Associates in 2004. He is a board certified in orthopaedic surgery and has an Added Certification of Qualifications for Surgery of the Hand (CAQSH); his training and experience give him the skills to handle the most complex hand and upper extremity issues. He is able to treat patients from the shoulder to the hand. He performs fracture fixation of the clavicle, humerus, elbow, wrist, hand and digits. He treats chronic and acute injuries from the OA of the shoulder, RC tears and sports injuries of the shoulder to chronic and acute conditions of the elbow, wrist and digits.

Dr. was great and did not take long to get me into see the Doctor. I was put off by the fact that the wanted me to fill out all the paperwork I had already submitted on ZocDoc. They said they could not access them correctly. :(

while the appointment was timely, Dr. Griggs seemed angry during the visit and spent very little time understanding my concerns and issues with my hands.

Dr. Griggs was really great. He was professional and personable. He listened to me and explained his diagnosis and plan very well. The staff at Hand Surgery Associates was also wonderful. From the moment I walked in I felt that I was going to be well cared for. The office is pleasant and easy to find. I would recommend going here.

Dr. Griggs is an excellent physician! He has always been friendly and kind. He has treated me for several issues and has been thorough in his evaluations and treatments. I would strongly encourage anyone seeking hand, arm or surgery concerns to see Dr. Griggs for medical treatment.

Excellent - my son was injured & he was seen the same day. Dr. reviewed xrays & determined surgery was needed. Dr. Griggs explained procedure very well & was very caring. Surgery done the following day. Post-op care excellent.
