He further completed fellowship subspecialty training in spine surgery at Albany Medical Center Hospital and in neurosurgical oncology at Moffitt Cancer Center, a National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center in Tampa, Florida.
As an assistant professor at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell, Dr. Rubino is dedicated to mentoring future neurosurgeons and is the medical student neurosurgery clerkship director at SIUH. As a member of the Northwell Cancer Institute, Dr. Rubino is committed to providing the highest level of collaborative, technologically advanced neurosurgical care to improve outcomes for cancer patients. His research includes a study where he served as the lead author, entitled Improving outcomes for brain metastases patients through the synergy of stereotactic radiosurgery and targeted cancer therapies.
