Dr. Desai is a Board Certified family physician who has been active in primary care in the Houston area for the past 7 years. Prior to that, she worked in Austin and southern California.
She completed her undergraduate training at The University of Texas at Austin. After graduating from AUC School of Medicine, she completed her residency training at Michigan State University, where she was Chief Resident during her final year.
Dr. Desai sees patients of all ages and has a special interest in weight loss medicine, disease prevention and health maintenance.

She was very nice and pleasant to speak with. I went in for an annual check up well women's exam but she advised because I was a new patient she would have the office staff schedule both exams. I would have like to have the well women's exam done that morning after being in the office for over 2 hours only checking my blood pressure, heart, and weight. Most offices would have made time being that I am a new patient so that I am eager to return. I felt like my time was wasted and I was there to introduce myself and take a picture.

Very sweet Doctor! She answered my questions and let me know what was going to be needed going forward. Her student did a great job of getting thorough information from me as well. The office is nice and the front desk girl Jessica was very helpful as well. She got me scheduled for all three appointments and when a line started to back up for check out she quickly acknowledged every person and got us all out rather fast and with a smile. I asked them for a prescription to hold me over until my next appointment and it was ready to go before I made it back to work. I really liked that I was never left alone for long periods of time waiting in a silent room...I always disliked this about many of my Dr's visits. I will continue to see Dr. Desai and this office for future needs.

Doctor and staff were perfect - very pleasant change
The practice and forms were very bad.
- i arrioved on time but because they could not use the forms from Online - i was then held up for 20 mins of form filling and was then missing my appointment....
- i filled them out on line
- I was informed i had to fill them out again
- i waited for them to find them sort out why they could not find/use the only ones...
- i then had to do "just pages 2 & 3"
- then the Dr's assistance asked me all the same "Health" qustions agian for her computer....
- then had to fill in 4 more later during the visit

I was there 1 hr and 15 minutes before the Dr. saw me, but once there, Dr. Desai was wonderful. She was knowledgeable, asked me several questions and gave me the appropriate recomendations. I will definitely see her again...hopefully today's wait was a fluke.

I truly recommend Dr. Desai. She is great and is actually concerned about your well being. She pointed out something that had bothered me for years (nothing serious) and gave me a referral asap. Her staff is great too.
