I have been seeing Dr.Murphy for about a year now. She is a good doctor, but I feel she could use some improvement in bedside manner. She is very blunt and to the point, which is great because that is what you look for in a doctor. But some compassion or increase in conversation would make me feel a little more comfortable, you know? Overall, I would recommend her. She is great at her job. Just minor tweeks here and there.

Dr. Murphy was very professional. She took the time to discuss my concerns. She did not rush me out the office. She explained everything that she wanted me to do and went over all the paperwork. I'm really glad I chose her as my primary care physician.

Stressful. On top of th stress of just moving to AZ 4 days ago, sitting 2 hrs in Social Security office, then 5 hrs n DES, then a doctor. I'm disabled & a Medicaid pt. AZ DES didn't get me n system yet. I had temporary paperwork given 2 me by the DES office 2 give 2 doc. I'd filled out paperwork thru your website but nothing had been scanned. The doc had no pre-knowledge of me & my very complex case & needs--this had been why I used your service! Staff was obviously unhappy w my not having a Medicaid card yet & took so long 2 figure things out that they began complaining that I was late (I'd been there 1/2 hr early) as it was now 15 min past the app't time. They told me I'd have 2 make another app't OR pay n full. I asked if I could retrieve the cash the next day once I had proper documents & that irritated them more. After some wrangling I got the billing/ins office phone # & they said I'll b refunded but not sure when. I went ahead & pd cash because I NEEDED to see a doc ASAP! Dr. Murphy herself was great! Calm, attentive, NOT overwhelmed w the tons of medical documentation I had or the forms needing filled out for me 2 obtain housing & not fall thru the cracks & become homeless again. I was also having symptoms that led her 2 send me 3 other places for further workup & TX. Trying 2 obey ZocDoc rules & not give specifics but was a wise call & I'm ok. Will return to Dr. Murphy Wed. Look fw'd to seeing her again. Smart, kind, caring, easy going lady. Med Ass't friendly, very knowledgeable, & thorough too. Other staff good but the one who checked me n was a very unhappy person! It wasn't my fault that no one had bothered 2 scan the ZocDoc forms nor my fault that AZ DES is slow. Nevertheless I was made 2 feel guilty & almost turned away from the app't! I was embarrassed n front of other pts n th lobby too.

I made an appointment with Dr. Murphy to establish a doctor, since I just moved to Phoenix from out of state. She was very thorough and asked a lot of questions regarding my medical history and took time with me.
