Dr. Ginnan, an expert on healing the body from the inside-out, loves helping patients who feel they've reached the "end-of-their-road", get better! Dr. Ginnan is well proficient in functional medicine, which looks at the underlying causes of a certain health condition, and strives to treat the actual imbalances that lead to the development of the disease, rather than the symptoms themselves.
Functional medicine allows Dr. Ginnan to improve the lives of his patients by finding and removing dysfunction and returning the body to a balanced state. This often translates to decreased pain, improved balance and increased energy, among many others. These changes are orchestrated thorough patient education and positive one-on-one interactions with Dr. Ginnan as well as those of the other holistic specialists of Virginia Integrative Health.
- As an adjunct to a traditional primary care physician, we do not perform some of the services that are commonly associated with traditional primary care such as pelvic exams, STD screenings and immunizations.
- We specialize in advanced biochemical, micronutrient, inflammatory, gastrointestinal, hormonal and genetic testing.
- We strive to help patients manage and improve their conditions through lifestyle changes including customized supplementation and nutrition as much as possible, as opposed to traditional prescription medications when indicated.
We have a two business day cancellation policy and reserve the right to charge a missed appointment fee.

Dr. Ginnan was good. Better than expected considering the weird vibe the office puts off. Ginnan was surprisingly down to earth and helpful. The office overall and the associated office procedures were just weird. No other way to describe it. I was uncomfortable the entire time I was there, save the 10 minutes I was in with the doctor. I’d recommend Dr. Ginnan, but wouldn’t go back.

I went to Dr. Ginnan for a routine physical and was in his office for close to an hour mainly hearing about all the gut and immune testing that I would need. Then the staff spent a considerable amount of time going over insurance benefits to cover these tests. In the end, I had very little of what I'd call a "physical" and chose not to do the tests.

With Dr. Ginnan, you get state of the art, integrated care - but also a level of commitment and compassion which is rare in most healthcare models and practices these days. He is thoughtful and intellectually curious by nature - and will work with you to optimize your health, even if your case is complicated and atypical.
He is never condescending and is respectful of his patients' thoughts and opinions. He does not lose sight of the fact that you, after all, are the one living in that body, and you might have some important clues to share. The relationship is collaborative, and I believe the outcomes that can be achieved are immeasurably enhanced by this.

Great doctor, great staff. Best decision i ever made for myself and my overall health. No "regular" doctor could figure out what was wrong with me, I had lost hope in doctors and in finding a cure for my symptoms. You can tell that he truly likes and cares for his patients' wefare in he and his team's dedication to every detail. His medicine is state of the art as well.

Dr. Ginnan was great but I'm giving a low rating for the wait time. My appointment was at 9am. I arrived early in order to complete the usual necessary paperwork prior to my appointment in order to be seen by the doctor at 9am. Unfortunately the office door was locked as the receptionist was not in yet. Gladly Dr. Ginnan, still saw me at 9am and asked the usual questions that would've been answered in the paperwork. Word of advice to the office staff would be if you have patients coming in at 9am, the office should be open at least at 8:30am.
Overall the appointment went well. The doctor was kind, patient, and knowledgable. He also took the time to discuss things with me and allowed me to ask questions.

I have been seeing Dr. Gannon for about 3 months. It is refreshing to have a doctor who actually spends more than a token amount of time with you. Significantly, he picked up several fairly serious problems missed by my prior Kaiser Permanente doctor. I also just completed the 6 week repair and clean program. It wasn't easy (and he warned me about what to expect) but I feel much better and lost 18 pounds.

Moreover, he and his team are true exceptions to today’s fragmented and dysfunctional health care system. They are both compassionate and listen carefully, while striving to give each and everyone of their patient’s the best healthcare available. They do so by utilizing the latest knowledge from both the conventional and alternative medicine worlds and applying appropriate healing modalities.
