Dr. Hart is fantastic! Great bedside manner and very informed. It's always a little unsettling seeing a doctor for the first time and she will put you at ease immediately. Her front office staff is great too, the girls were very professional and polite.

Dr. Shannon Hart obtained her Osteopathic medical degree from Des Moines University - College of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery in 2003 and completed her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Naval Medical Center San Diego in 2007. She is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ACOG) and a member of American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM), American Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology (ASCCP), American Medical Informatics Association (AMIA), and American Osteopathic Association (AOA). Currently, she is also a pursing a Master’s in Medical Informatics at Northwestern University at Chicago.
Dr. Hart had proudly served for 10 years in the United States Navy serving around the globe to include a tour in Japan. While forward deployed to Afghanistan in 2010 in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, she not only delivered care to female service personnel but also provided first line trauma and surgical services to our wounded soldiers in which she affectionately became known as the “Combat Gynecologist.”
As your physician, Dr. Hart’s philosophy is to work collaboratively with you providing professional opinion and guidance. This allows for you to make an educated, well informed decision for your healthcare. She specializes in fertility evaluation and treatment, moderate-high risk obstetrics, interstitial cystitis, cervical dysplasia (abnormal pap smears), urogynecology and osteopathic manipulative therapy (OMT).
Dr. Hart is happily married to a Family Medicine Navy Physician and enjoys spending family time with her daughter and Chihuahua. In her spare time, she also enjoys tap dancing.
