Upon her successful completion, she was able to gain employment at several reputable hospitals, to include Mercy Medical Center, Veterans Administration Medical Center and Medstar Washington Hospital Center where she worked for over eight years as a Registered Nurse in various fields. Due to her love, dedication, and compassion for nursing, she decided to further her academic career and obtained her Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She immediately gained employment in Primary Care where she currently manages and treats numerous acute and chronic conditions. She decided to expand her knowledge and become specialized in pain management, substance abuse treatment, and medical cannabis.

I alway's hated going to the doctors but since I've started seeing Shannon Martin I actually enjoy my visits with her. Everyone In her office are very friendly and accommodating! I never have to wait long to be seen. Shannon takes her time and asks plenty of questions and answers all your concerns. She actually listens to what you have to say and doesn't judge or criticize you, which is awesome in itself. She actually cares about her patients and Is determined to find the best solution for your needs. I would recommend her and her office in general to anyone needing a primary care physician!

I wasn't able to get there early to fill out forms so it took longer to be seen, but once I did the appointment went very well!

She is really sweet and non judgmental. She helped me during a very bad time while waiting to see my psychiatrist. Even though she normally wouldn't prescribe medications I take but she did. She did because she is human.....I say that because some doctors are so clinical about medicine they forget that we are all just human beings trying to face the world. I highly recommend her.

As always shes awesome. No matter what she makes me feel like I have nothing to be ashamed of or worry about. Her staff is top notch. My favorite PCP ever and I'm 40!! She will help you and she does listen and care. I never give reviews but she deserves my time...since she gave me hers when I was falling apart! Thank you all!!!

Love Shannon and everyone who works up front. Always super friendly. Also call backs and any issues with prescriptions are almost instantly resolved. Appointment times are also very flexible.
