Sharon Drakos is a Yale trained Psychiatric Clinical Specialist with over 30 years experience practicing psychotherapy and medication management. She draws from a number of theoretical frameworks including psychodynamic, which views the client’s personal and family history as having historical connections to his/her presenting problems which leads to greater understanding of the current problem. She also uses the holistic model of the person as a biophysicalsocialspiritual being. All of these aspects of the self are studied and analyzed to bring clarity to issues the person is currently struggling with.
She also brings a foundation of cognitive behavioral theory and the principles of solution-focused brief treatment to her work.
