Sharon is a board-certified Women's Health Nurse Practitioner who proudly served in the United States Army for six years as a combat medic with tours of duty in Korea, Afghanistan and Iraq.
Following her honorable discharge, Sharon earned a Bachelor of Science in health sciences and a Bachelor of Science in nursing from the University of South Florida. She worked as a labor and delivery nurse in high-risk obstetrics, where she recognized a need for knowledge and empowerment among her patient population. Inspired to further her education, she earned a master’s degree as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner from Georgetown University.
Sharon currently serves as a sexual assault nurse examiner (SANE) for Pinellas County, being a firm believer in implementing trauma informed healthcare into her daily practice.
Outside of work, you can find Sharon spending time feeding homeless populations, in church, or with her family. She also enjoys traveling the Caribbean and hopes to expand her travel adventures to Europe and Asia.
