"Dr. Shelly Harvey is originally from Austin, Texas, and graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1992. She received her initial medical education at UT Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. Following a Pediatric residency at Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Little Rock, she returned to UT Southwestern and completed her Allergy/Immunology fellowship in 2003. Following her medical training, Dr. Harvey enjoyed several years of private practice at Medical City Dallas Hospital, treating children and adults with a variety of allergic conditions.
Dr. Harvey joins UTSW with a strong background in general allergic conditions, asthma, and immunodeficiency. She treats many conditions in both pediatric and adult patients, including asthma, seasonal allergies, recurrent sinusitis, food allergies, drug allergies, eczema, urticaria (hives), and recurrent infections. Her clinical practice emphasizes personal and family-centered care, as well as patient education. Dr. Harvey’s interests outside of medicine include her family, painting, gardening, cooking, and anything outdoors."
