More about Sherron Cook, PA
Sherron Cook, DHSc, MS, PA-C brings over 14 years of experience in family medicine, urgent care, and sleep medicine as a Physician Assistant to OnePeak Medical. After graduating from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona with a Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Sherron worked as a clinical research coordinator with the National Institutes of Health for the Diabetes Prevention Program Outcomes Study. This role motivated her to earn her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from A.T. Still University in 2008 and her Doctorate of Health Sciences in Leadership and Organizational Behavior in 2019.
Sherron has a special interest in diabetes prevention and has provided care in both rural and urban healthcare environments throughout Arizona, in Community Health Centers, Urban Indian Health Care Centers, and Indian Health Service Centers. She has learned to appreciate and value the importance of establishing great care relationships by serving in these environments. Sherron is passionate about creating these relationships with her patients and helping them reach their health goals.
When Sherron is not in the clinic, she teaches Physician Assistant students and sits on an advisory board for the National Center for American Indian Health Care Providers, an interdisciplinary group with a mission to recruit and retain future American Indian healthcare providers.
In her free time, you will likely find Sherron reading, spending time with her family, taking a walk with her dog, or crocheting.
