Dr. Lu was very thorough. He sat down and carefully developed a plan of care for me. I never felt rushed which is something I've felt plenty of times in the past with other physicians. I've worked in a physician's office for almost 20 years and I was very pleased with Dr. Lu and his office.

I graduated from Baylor College of Medicine in 1994, and completed my internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Texas at Houston. I have been Board Certified in Internal Medicine since 1997, and have recently been recertified in November 2007. After completing my training in 1997, I practiced at MacGregor Medical Association until 2002. Although I thoroughly enjoyed my 5 years there, I always felt that things could be done better, and that I could provide better service in a smaller, more personal setting. I believe in providing my services through comprehensive quality medical care, attentive listening, and patient education.
With these goals in mind, I started a new clinic in the Hermann Professional Building in the Texas Medical Center in 2002 with a colleague, Dr. Joseph O'Dwyer. I worked extensively at three of the major hospitals there: The Methodist Hospital, Memorial Hermann Hospital, and Texas Orthopedic Hospital, in addition to maintaining and managing a busy clinic schedule.
Ultimately, however, my goal has always been to get back to the community and focus on outpatient and preventive care. As of September 2013, I have relocated to Associates in Medicine. In this setting, I hope to provide easier accessibility and continue to provide the level of health care that I feel you deserve.

He diagnosed me with Diabetes II, threw a bunch of samples/meters at me with no education, and left me to figure out everything on my own. Understand it was an initial visit, but over two hours to get a flu shot is absurd. Finally got up and left the room once it became apparent that I had been forgotten. Was chased down by office personnel on way out saying, we're sorry sir, we can still give you the flu shot if you like. First impressions are everything...and this was not one I would like to remember. Do yourself a favor and keep looking for a practice that values their patients time.

They did not have my appointment or any of my info even though I called to confirm and they said they did. When I finally got everything filled out and back to the room, I waiting another 30 mins before the doctor came. He was very nonchalant and j kept having to repeat my symptoms. He didn't give me a conclusive diagnosis. Just to try some things and come back if needed.

Dr. Lu & Mandy (his assitant) are always extremely kind and considerate. I never feel like I'm being rushed, so that, he can see his next patient. He takes his time, listens to my concerns, and ensure he has covered everything before I leave the office. Dr. Lu is a good physician and I have enjoyed having him as my doctor.
