He received his pre-medical degree from the University of Bologna, Italy, in 1973 and then his medical degree from the Technion (Israel Institute of Technology), Israel, in 1978. He served his internship and initial general surgery residency at the University of Tel Aviv and then moved to the United States in 1981 to become a resident at Tufts New England Medical Center in Boston, MA.
Dr. Shlomo Widder has also served residencies at the Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C, and in Buffalo, NY. In 1987 he completed a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship at Case Western Reserve University Hospitals of Cleveland, OH.
Dr. Shlomo Widder is licensed to practice plastic surgery in the states of Virginia, Maryland, Washington D.C. and New York. He holds a number of certificates from several prestigious medical organizations such as American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) and the American Association for the Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities (AAAASF) and the Fairfax County Medical Society.

Best result for my breast augmentation.

This being my first surgery, I was scared and anxious beyond belief but Dr. Widder, Jo-Jo and Lynn made sure to call me everyday for a week before surgery to calm me down. I am so amazingly happy with my results and consider the staff like family. The after care process was not even that serious, I was only out for 2 days and was able to go back to work after 4 days. Surgery was only 2 hours and the surgery team was also amazing. Jo-Jo made sure to call me everyday after surgery to make sure I was okay which made me feel such warm care. Bottom line, I am in love!

Dr. Widder previously operated on my wife, & I knew he was an expert. Not only talented and kind but thoughtful. I worked out for long time and just couldn't loose the weight. I am happy, I chose Dr. Widder and had the lipo-suction.
