Seems like a nice person who genuinely cares about patients. I get the impression that her approaches are pretty conventional, which can leave many patients experiencing a lower quality of life. I'll be continuing to look for someone who can offer a more individualized approach to treatment.

Dr. Silvia and her staff were professional and polite. Her bedside manner was great, and she seemed very educated and knowledgeable.
That being said, this ended up just not being a right fit for me (explained below).
During my appointment, I was a bit surprised to learn that they did not have a nurse on staff who could take my blood samples for tests, so I would need to make a separate appointment at a Quest Diagnostics location to get blood work done... I'm sure she isn't the only doctor who does things this way, but in all my previous experiences with doctors I've seen, I've always had my blood drawn right then in their office and THEY were the ones who sent my blood to the lab - not the other way around.
This was inconvenient for me because it required me to make another appointment somewhere else, and take more time out of my already very busy schedule to do something that I feel should have and could have been done in their office.
In addition, I was paying out of pocket (since my insurance provider doesn't cover me in Miami), and I was charged what I felt was a ridiculously high amount for what basically ended up being a five minute appointment with the doctor, since they didn't do any tests on site.
For me and personal situation, this just wasn't worth my time or money.
