The Vancouver Eye Clinic runs like a well-oiled machine in jumping the incoming, both returning and new, patients. Staff extremely pleasant and helpful. Examination process very thorough. Over all great experience!!!

Dr. Silvio J. Gurdian is a board-certified ophthalmologist who loves helping his patients repair their eyesight. He graduated magna cum laude with his medical degree from the University of Mississippi Medical Center. He then completed his residency in ophthalmology at Casey Eye Institute at Oregon Health Sciences University. While there, Dr. Gurdian was twice awarded the Rose Award for Outstanding Service Excellence in patient care. Upon completing his training, Dr. Gurdian joined Vancouver Eye Care in 2001.
Dr. Gurdian serves as the President of the Vancouver Eye Care Surgery & Laser Center and serves on the Governing Body. He enjoys a comprehensive adult ophthalmology practice where he has developed a reputation for listening to his patient’s concerns. During his free time, Dr. Gurdian enjoys the great outdoors of the Pacific Northwest—from snow and water skiing to hiking.

I thought he was very thorough and he seemed genuine in his concern for helping diagnose my eye issue. He was professional and articulate and he explained things in laymens terms that I was able to follow. I liked him right away and his staff was very friendly as well. Overall it was a great experience.

I have seen Dr. Gurdian for several years now. He has a kind and quiet demeanor. He is always thoughtful about listening to concerns and answering questions you may have.

Dr. Gurdian seemed unhurried, thorough and polite. First clearly stated his observations, then asked for and clearly answered my questions. I am quite pleased with my visit to the doctor.
I was less thrilled with the clinic's technician who did what seemed like a quite cursory refraction, as part of the prep for seeing the doctor; she took fewer measurements than I'm used to, and just seemed to give up when the results weren't 20/20. I won't know for sure until I get the new lenses.

He was attentive and caring. He explained my eye condition in an illuminating way, and even had the technician take complimentary pictures of my eyes for me to see my congenital condition for myself. What a pleasant and educational experience.
