Mid Florida Dermatology is honored to include Dr. Sima Jain as our newest staff physician. Dr. Jain is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology and her special interests include pediatric dermatology, women’s health, anti-aging therapy, skin cancer and acne. She has extensive training and experience in medical dermatology, cosmetic dermatology, laser and dermatologic surgery, and all patients are treated utilizing the most medically advanced techniques.
Dr. Jain completed her undergraduate studies at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Neuroscience. She received her medical degree from the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida, and then completed her dermatology training in Chicago, Illinois at the University of Illinois at Chicago Medical Center. During her training, she was chosen to become Chief Resident due to her leadership and excellence in teaching. Alpha Omega Alpha, the prestigious medical honor society, selected Dr. Jain to receive their annual Resident Teaching Award for proving “excellent clinical teaching” to residents and medical students. Since completing her training, she has continued to receive awards for excellence in patient care, including the Patient’s Choice Award and the Compassionate Doctor Recognition. She is also the sole author of a dermatology board review book, Dermatology: Illustrated Study Guide and Comprehensive Board Review, which has become one of the best-selling board review books for dermatologists.
